Under communism ownership of the word of God was an illegal offence.  If caught in possession of a Bible a long, severe prison sentence was imposed.

Christian literature was often absent in Church communities throughout the former USSR.  This resulted in a hunger and desire to own and learn from the word of God.

Since communism has fallen there is now freedom to distribute Christian literature and Bibles.  It has always been IMPACT's vision and work to provide the word of God to these spiritually hungry people.

Annually IMPACT distributes over 750,000 Bibles, New Testaments and Gospels of John.  However, the current demand is greater than our resources can cope with due to our financial restraints.
